THE HUMAN SYMPHONY BOOK REVIEWS
Reviewed by Kathy Goss, coauthor, The Complete Book of Homeopathy, Maximum Immunity
Dr. Wieder has gifted us with an exciting and versatile new therapeutic tool, and a thought-provoking book to make it accessible. Surveying the ever-present music of the cosmos, from the far reaches of the galaxies to the infinitesimal rhythms that animate every living cell, she provides a lyrical and comprehensive foundation for the premise that sound can be used to influence and balance the human body/mind. She reviews the long and colorful history of healing traditions that utilize vibrational energy, as well as modern therapeutic disciplines that work with the symphony of frequencies that regulate the healthy functioning of living organisms.
Against this wide-ranging background, Dr. Wieder introduces her “electronic tuning fork,” an extension of her earlier work with steel tuning forks to treat dysfunctions arising from malalignments of the human vertebrae. Her new, more adaptable device produces a range of frequencies that can be applied not only to the spine, but also to other vital organs and to the subtle energy centers of the body. As with the tuning forks, Dr. Wieder uses her Harmonic Resonator in conjunction with muscle testing to determine which body parts require treatment, and for how long.
To the uninitiated, it may seem far-fetched to claim that the application of tuned sounds can relieve a wide range of symptoms, both physical and mental. The brief but impressive case histories show that clients of all ages, with a variety of problems, have responded to treatment with the Harmonic Resonator. In a provocative final chapter, Dr. Wieder speculates about future applications of the device in healing and research.
The Human Symphony is a valuable resource for anyone interested in vibrational healing, and an indispensable guide for practitioners exploring the potential of the Harmonic Resonator in their own work.
